You Could Use These Garage Heaters
“These garage heaters are effective and affordable!”
Selecting one or more garage heaters for your home may seem like it is a difficult task from the outside, and why shouldn’t it? When you consider all the different types there are and all the different companies that manufacture them, you’re bound to get a little confused. Just think about it for a second. There are electric, propane, gas (natural or otherwise), radiant, infrared, small portable units, industrial types, hydronic, residential, commercial, wall mounted, oil, solar, ceramic, ventless, kerosene, forced air, tube and hot water types.
It doesn’t stop there, though. Look who makes them: Modine (who is famous for their Hot Dawg unit), Hamilton, Maxx, Reddy, Beacon, Morris, Trane, Qmark, and Menards. Confused yet? Do you know which one you want? If you’re like most people, you probably do not have a clue which kind you need right now. You just want one that will provide you with enough heat to get by in the cold winter months. You probably couldn’t care less if the unit has an output of 45,000 BTUs or 60,000 BTUs.
Actually, by having an idea which units are not for you, you’ll get a better understanding of what you can get and then base your final decision on the cost. For example, you wouldn’t want a hydronic unit, because they are designed for industrial or commercial applications. Most likely, though, you do want a very efficient unit that won’t cost very much. Obviously, the most efficient type is going to be a solar one, but if you don’t have the entire system or don’t plan on getting one any time soon, it can be a hassle. Types like Propane and gasoline powered are going away though, due to the high cost to run them and the more negative impact on the environment.
If you want to really be efficient, get a small portable one that you can take around with you wherever you go. These electric heaters can heat up whatever space you’re in, including the garage. Whatever you do choose, just try to keep in mind that if you treat these devices well, they can last for a very long time. Then you won’t have to deal with getting a new one again.
